about

this is an ep release. it's a short album that you could listen to in its entirety on your daily commute (in theory, at any rate). for now, perhaps try running it whilst preparing dinner instead.

we did some things on here that we're proud of, and are excited to let you in on the result.

davepsy does rapping. lots of devices are used here, and a handful of topics are explored.

Stylus does tunes and turntabley tings. envision a twister mat for your brain cells.

this is the result of 2 folks who've known each other for nearly 25 years, but only directly creatively connected in fall of 2019. remnants of respective underground toronto powerhouses; the mighty monolith & the audible oddities, this collaboration realizes a glimpse of what a number of folks have asked many times over time.

the work spans the end of the year through the first couple months of pandemic shut-in. you may experience an initial sense of invitation, then confusion and disturbance, followed by an overwhelming desire to vacate.

but stay. it's just that baby meme we've all seen.

swish.

about

DAVEPSY Seattle, Washington

Davepsy was born and raised in st. louis, raised some more in toronto, and is now doing his own raising in seattle. Hailed by nobody in particular as the greatest ever to fumble a mic, he knows his strength is in the studio--writing (or not), rapping (or not), and laughing. there's no hyperbole here. ... more
